Differences between mural wallpaper and pattern wallpaper
Wall mural has a strict order of rolls, which cannot be changed.
Pattern wallpaper can be installed in any order. If the pattern repeats every 80 inches (100 cm) or more, then look at the panel header information.
Each panel will have a white header with the panel number, amount, and texture. This will be cut after the installation.
Check the wallpaper
Lay out the wallpaper on the floor and join the pattern. Be sure to check the wallpaper for damage. If you notice a discrepancy with your order (the pattern does not fit, the color of the wallpaper differs from each other or something else), be sure to contact us BEFORE you start installation - we will help resolve this situation.
Note! All mural wallpapers are checked by a specialist before shipping. The panels are numbered from left to right at the top.
Install wallpaper
On the wall, you need to draw a vertical line with a pencil on the right side of the first canvas in order to install it strictly vertically.
First panel
Start installing the first panel strictly vertically relative to the drawn line. Peel and stick a small area at the top of the panel so you can install the top of the wallpaper.
Start installation from the middle of the panel, gently smoothing to the edges
Note! Wallpaper is printed with a margin of 1 inch in height, as the walls, ceiling and floor may not be perfectly even.
IMPORTANT: wallpaper should be installed from top to bottom, without pulling. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the wallpaper.
After sure that the panel is parallel to the drawn line, you can slowly peel off some more backing and continue smoothing the wallpaper with a felt tipped squeegee or roller from top to bottom and diagonally to the edges. You need to smooth it slowly, displacing the air remaining under the wallpaper. It is important not to wrinkle or scratch the wallpaper. Continue to gradually separate the backing and smooth the wallpaper to the end of the panel.
Note! Slow removal of the backing gives a better chance of a quality installation
Install other panels
Install following panels edge to edge as there is no overlap in a butt joint. Alignment the pattern, avoiding overlapping of the panels or a gap between them.
The second panel must also be installed from top to bottom, gradually removing the substrate, gently smoothing it with a roller or felt tipped squeegee.
Repeat until finished
Repeat all steps until your wallpaper is completely set.
Once installation is complete, use a metal ruler and a sharp razor blade to remove excess wallpaper. A dull blade can cause the wallpaper to tear.
Check that the wallpaper is well installed on the entire wall, smooth again if necessary. Repeat this step one week after installation.
If there is a thermal radiator on the wall, turn it off for 24 hours - this will reduce the chance of shrinkage.
